Yogyakarta — The Funminton KBM 2025 event was successfully held on Thursday (20/2) at GOR Lembah UGM. Despite embracing a relaxed and fun theme, the competition still crowned its champions after a series of intense matches.
A total of 16 mixed doubles teams competed with great enthusiasm, showcasing their skills and strategies. The final match was fiercely contested, with the first-place winners only emerging after five exhausting sets.
The first-place title was claimed by Prof. Dr. Sugeng Bayu Wahyono, M.Si., a KBM lecturer, paired with Laillia Dhiah Indriani, a KBM alumna. They triumphed over the mixed doubles team of Stara Asrita and Rizky Jumatul Ikhsan, KBM students, in a thrilling three-set match. Meanwhile, third place was secured by the duo of Chung Ji Pyo and Hikmatul Arifah, both KBM alumni, who delivered an outstanding performance on the court.
In addition to the matches involving students, lecturers, and alumni, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Graduate School, Prof. Widiyatno, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with Graduate School staff members Diro Yuniarto, Joko Waluyo, and Priyatna Ari, joined the exhibition match.
Funminton KBM 2025 was not only a stage for showcasing skills but also an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship among participants. Congratulations to all the winners for their hard work and achievements!
