Students Profile

Students of the Master and Doctoral Program in Media and Cultural Studies come from various educational backgrounds, some of which are: communication science, literature, art, design, social science, broadcasting, etc.

Academic Activities

Student Introduction and Orientation
This activity is held by the Media and Cultural Studies Program for new students. Students receive introductory information about the lecture curriculum also the introduction to the lecturers and staff of the Media and Cultural Studies Program.

The Inaugural Lecture
It is a mandatory lecture for all new students of the Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University organized by the Graduate School of Gadjah Mada University.

Welcoming New Students
This activity is held by the students for the new students. The purpose is so that inter-generation students can get to know each other and build intimacy among the students. It also invite lecturers and alumni to participate.

Field Study
This activity is held by the Media and Cultural Studies Program for Master and Doctoral Program students. Students can propose the location of the field study.

Non-Academic Activities

Participate in the Media and Cultural Studies Program Activities
The Media and Cultural Studies has several routine activities, namely: discussion series, community service activities, and book discussions, which involve students and alumni both in planning and executing the activities.

Media and Cultural Studies Community Activities
Students can involve in the non-academic agendas to build intimacy among the academics of the Media and Cultural Studies.
