The Media and Cultural Studies (KBM) Program at the Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada held a colloquium for the 2024/2025 doctoral students. This event aimed to solidify their research proposal topics as a basis for consideration in the allocation of courses for the second semester and the determination of the dissertation supervisory team.Additionally, the colloquium served as an evaluation platform for students to reflect on the materials covered during the first semester, particularly in terms of the paradigms that will be applied in their dissertations.
A total of eight students participated in the colloquium. Seven students presented their research in person at Meeting Room C, 5th floor of the Graduate School Building, while one student participated online from Brisbane, Australia. This colloquium is expected to assist students in strengthening their research frameworks and clarifying their academic direction as they embark on their doctoral studies in the KBM Program.
