A total of 8 new students of the Doctoral Programs of the Department of Media and Cultural Studies (KBM) were welcomed by the program administrators on Friday, August 18th, at the Graduate School Building of Gadjah Mada University. During the New Doctoral Program Students Orientation event, Dr. Budiawan, the Head of the Doctoral Program, explained the plans and stages the students must go through over the course of 4 years. Ratna Noviani, S.I.P., M.Si., Ph.D. and Elok Jesica Santi, M.A. also shared tips that can assist students in navigating through their studies effectively, as it is undeniable that a doctoral program indeed requires a significant investment of time, costs, and energy. Therefore, concentration, consistency, and a robust support system are necessary to aid the research undertaken for the final tasks and dissertations.
