Registration for the KBM Thesis Grant Program is open from 11 December 2025 to 17 January 2026. This program is a form of support from the Master’s Program in Media and Cultural Studies (KBM) for students who are preparing to conduct their thesis research. Through this support, it is expected that students will be more motivated to carry out their research and be able to graduate on time.
Some of the registration requirements are as follows:

Applicants must be active students of the KBM Master’s Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada, cohort 2024, and must not be on academic leave.

The proposed research must be original, not plagiarized, not previously published, and must have been acknowledged and approved by the thesis supervisor.

Applicants must not be receiving any form of scholarship.

The proposed research must not be currently funded or planned to be funded by any other party.

Applicants must demonstrate integrity and commitment to completing the thesis grant in accordance with the specified targets and timeline, and to complying with all applicable regulations.
